Can you answer mechflight20’s question about IBS?:
I’ve done a little research and have been starting to find more and more sites that tell me taking the Birth Control pill can lead to the development of Ulcerative Colitis and/or Chromes Disease. Does anyone know if this is true? Or why this would happen? Also what if the person had Proctitis beforehand started taking the pill and has developed Colitis. Could the pill be the reason for it?

IBS Feedback: The correct term is Crohns Disease and I have NEVER heard of birth control pills being the cause of either Crohns or colitis. The bowels and intestines are not negatively effected by hormones. Where did you read this?
IBS Feedback: I have colitis and I was never on the pill. It’s just something that you get, and doctors have no idea why. It is not caused by the pill, it’s just something that some people will get and they will have it the rest of our lives. My colitis is in my intestine and colon and that has nothing to do with the pill. Just talk to your doctor!
i absolutely agree with you feel free to read my blog to hear my story ( still in the progress of writing it) the pill caused my stomach problems!!!!! Cinderella - hormones actually do have an effect on the bowels and intestines that is why there is a correlation between the menstrual cycle and women’s flare ups - also why many women experience constipation and other bowel problems while pregnant
